Hailing from the St. Paul-Minneapolis area, Matt studied music at North Central University, where more specifically, he worked with drummer and percussionist, Zach Miller.
In Nashville, TN now, Matt has been playing drums with a diverse list of artists and groups since relocating there in 2010, where his love for the open road and playing music continues to thrive.
His passion for playing is rivaled only by his desire to work hard and live life intentionally. “Family has always been important to me, and that means immediate family, as well as relationships you develop while out on the road as well” says Matt. “Having a career in music isn’t always what you get out of it, but what you pour into those around you”.
With 10 years under him Matt has extensive experience with major label artists in drum performance, building live tracks (ableton), and all of the aspects that involve tour management.
Matt continues to work with a wide variety of artists, while still based out of Music City USA. including but not limited to the following; Drake White, Clare Dunn, The Swon Brothers, Tucker Beathard, Levi Hummon, Drew Parker, Jon Langston & others.
